Garrett Gould is a financial planner who specializes in long-term tax management and creating ideas that will help you reach your definition of financial independence. He is the primary point of contact for clients and helps earlier retirees figure out a way to make retirement happen. Garrett is a CFA charterholder and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS.

Now, for the less boring details.

Well, Garrett has the type of personality that likes to debate tax policy and also has two cats (that is a personality trait). He co-invented a card game called Queen of Spades (just ask). He is fond of international travel and seeing the world.

Garrett grew up and is currently living in Kansas City, MO. However he is a nomad and has aspirations of living in Seattle and Austin (two income tax-free states – coincidence?) He is a casual Chiefs fan and does not watch any of the actual baseball while attending Royals game. Garrett cannot hit a golf ball straight but will gladly join a non-competitive sand volleyball match.

Garrett spends most of his free time working “on” his business (not “in” his business – big difference for you entrepreneurs out there) and would like to build Halyard Financial up to 60 clients that he truly enjoys spending every second with.
